I received further information from Ms. Jo at MSway this morning: "After IBC, we have revised some specifications and felt to modify some parts for the better performance. However the components such as chipset, antenna and so on are not really ready for our targeted price & performance we are keep looking for better solutions.
The product schedules are (it can be changed):
USB type (MDR-U100)
- for DRM30 & DRM+
- sample can be sold in the end of November or early December 2011
- we are going to start additional field tests in different regions soon.
- The commercial products can be release in Jan or Feb 2012 after certification process.
Monitoring system (MDR-M200)
- For DRM30 & DRM+
- Can be sold in the end of November 2011 with data service functions
Stand alone type (MDR-S100)
- Only for AM/FM/DRM30 in the first Phase (considering the price)
- We need to do more revision & development than we expected and try to find cheaper solutions with good quality.
- The sample can be ready in the end of the 1st quarter of 2012."
