KTWR will test their new TX7 (a Thomson TSW-2250D) on November 5th through the 8th.
On November 5-6, they will be using 15445KHz with 32KW at 1500-1530 UTC. The beam heading will be 285 degrees.
On November 7-8, they will be using 13760KHz with 32KW at 1500-1530 UTC. The beam heading will be 285 degrees.
DRM parameters will be in 10kHz Mode C, 11 kbps audio bitrate with 16QAM MSC .
They are particularly interested in reports from India. Using a different antenna and frequencies, they anticipate additional decoding opportunities, so wherever you are - give them a try!
In tests of TX7, they have achieved an SNR of 31.7dB in the 22-meter band while only getting 30.4dB on 19 meters.
Engineer Mike Sabin will be the shift operator. He encourages email or Skype contacts during the broadcast of problems stating "maybe I can make corrections in real time."
