In the November 6th print edition (I don't see it online yet) of RADIOWORLD on page 30, Engineer Paul Thurst (of Engineering Radio blog) tells it like it is with the current AM revitalization topic. He says "other technologies should be investigated" and he names DRM.
He doesn't say DRM is the answer, but he explains how it already has years of development behind it, is non-proprietary and should at least be tried to compare factors with iBiquity's AM HD mode.
Not that I haven't been saying this for awhile, but it sure is nice to see an industry publication and a well known engineer echo my sentiments. Once again we must "strike while the iron is hot" and get the word out on this! Write the FCC, write the President, tell your mom, do something!
