"Must Read" for the DRM Enthusiast!

The consortium just posted the new and improved version of the DRM Introduction & Implementation Guide. This is essential reading for anyone interested in learning more about the properties and benefits of Digital Radio Mondiale. Just in time too since we need to convince the powers that be to test DRM in all-digital on the USA AM/MW band. Of course, we already have lots of research to prove our point!

New DRM articles from Korea in our Bibliography

You may recall when we were reporting about MSway DRM receivers (now cancelled entirely), our friend Marticia explained the connection her company had with KETI (Korean Electronics Technology Institute). Some of that research has recently been released in the form of journal articles. Check out our fine DRM Bibliography for these new entries (links to PDFs are included there)...

Performance Analysis of Sampling Frequency Offset Synchronization Scheme for DRM Systems.

Integer Frequency Offset Synchronization Scheme with Low Implementation Complexity for OFDM Systems.

A Frame Synchronization Method with Robustness to the Effects of Initial SFO in DRM Systems.

Don't neglect our Bibliography

Once again for your reading pleasure I have updated the DRM Bibliography. Please note, listed are numerous articles from our favorite DRM luminaries interviewed right here on drmna.info!

There is some great research here and many of the articles are available for the "library impaired" via PDF so you have no excuse not to be up-to-speed with current DRM technology!

For the more studious, I recommend heading out to the library and asking for an Interlibrary Loan or seeing if the journals listed are locally held. This stuff is HOT! Get reading!

Greetings IEEE Broadcast Symposium attendees

Welcome IEEE Broadcast Symposium attendees and thanks for stopping by drmna.info!

About us: We are a group of enthusiasts and specialists that recognize the value of the Digital Radio Mondiale technology and want it for North America. As the shortwave bands are abandoned by traditional analogue broadcasting, we see an opening for this excellent digital alternative. We'd love to have your insight and input regarding DRM in North America. Please take time to join the DRMNA Yahoo Group and read through the drmna.info posts. Be sure to check-out our Technical Bibliography too.

DRM offers improvements compared to traditional shortwave broadcasting including audio quality, stereo, image transmission, text and even video. DRM is a solution for end users as well as the broadcasting chain such as STL. Please look into the DRM standard and help us in our work to encourage the FCC to make changes friendly to the implementation of DRM in NA. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
