KBC Radio to Broadcast in DRM

"There was a problem with the DRM encoder, They are doing their best for tonight 13-11-2011….. same time 18.00 UTC on 7590 kHz."

DRM frequency has been changed to 7590.

Not so much that the headline says it all, read the comments from listeners. I think the dialog is intriguing. This is a great example of the two-way discussion that needs to occur between broadcasters and listeners! Check out their website for further news on this.

DRM receivers spotted at IBC 2011!

Thanks to a tip from our friend Alokesh, here is a link to an Italian blog featuring the before mentioned MSway receivers and more! Since most of our readers are English speakers, the shortened link features the Google Translator for assistance.

You will still need to locate Hamlib and AAC decoders elswhere, but this is some kind of progress!

DRM webinar video capture available!

Here is the message that DRM Webinar participants received. The video capture of the webinar is here. Hopefully, we will soon have access to the PowerPoint. I'll report on that as soon as I know more.

Did you attend the DRM webinar?

I did! Not much in the way of new information, but I did find it interesting and enjoyable. I'll post a link to the transcript/webinar when it becomes available. See my previous post on this topic.

Happy New Year, where is my Disco?

[The disco has returned! The Disco Palace 20:00-21:00Z & TDPRadio 21:00-22:00Z on 17755 KHz Daily] -admin

Welcome to 2011 DRMNAers! I'm hoping for great things for DRM in NA this year. Unfortunately, the first bit of news is not so good. TDP and Disco Palace have been missing from our DReaMs! Here are snips of a few email we received on the DRMNA Yahoo group from Jacques F6AJW recently:

New Danish DRM site

Give this site a try. They are trying to offer practical bite-sized bits of information about DRM in 3 languages, Danish, English & German.

Sorry about the puns!
